Tencent releases Hy4 with visual understanding and computer-use capabilities

Tencent released the final Hy4 model on November 4, 2026. Compared with Hy4 preview from August 28, the final release adds visual understanding and computer-use capabilities, combining command-line and graphical-interface actions while strengthening long-context, long-horizon and complex workflows. The official model list specifies a 1M-token context, up to 960k input tokens and 64k output tokens. Tencent says Hy4 is live on Tencent Cloud and OpenRouter and can be used through WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy, Yuanbao and ima. TokenHub uses the model ID hy4 and requires a Tencent Cloud account, TokenHub activation and an API key. Account and regional availability depend on each product's actual access conditions. TokenHub's pay-as-you-go list prices are CNY 6 for input, CNY 18 for output and CNY 0.3 for cache-hit tokens per million. From publication of the pricing notice through December 31, 2026 at 23:59:59 Beijing time, Hy4 usage incurred within the offer period is charged at 50% of list prices; list prices resume afterward. This is not a discount on Token Plan subscriptions, and identical pricing across all regions has not been verified. Open weights for the final model remain planned, and Hy4 flash is a future release. The preview's open-weight status and 770B/49B parameter counts are not carried over as facts about the final model. The older preview record remains unchanged.
Availability
Available on Tencent Cloud TokenHub and OpenRouter, with access through WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy, Yuanbao and ima. TokenHub API access requires a Tencent Cloud account, service activation and an API key. Open weights for the final release are planned, not yet confirmed available.
