Inception has released Mercury 3, a diffusion language model now available on OpenRouter. OpenRouter announced access at 00:54 Beijing time on October 20, 2026, reporting generation speeds above 1,000 tokens per second and a one-million-token context window, four times that of Mercury 2.5. Inception reports that Mercury 3 outperforms GPT-6 Luna and Haiku 5.5 on IFBench, GPQA Diamond and SWE-Bench Atlas; these are vendor-reported results.
