OpenAI makes GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol about 50% faster on subscriptions

OpenAI's Tibo Sottiaux said on Oct 6, 2026, 01:20 Beijing time, that GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol now run about 50% faster by default on ChatGPT subscriptions, roughly 50 tokens per second instead of 30. It covers OpenAI apps and Sign in with ChatGPT partners such as OpenCode, Amp, and Devin, with nothing to change. Usage limits were not mentioned.
