OpenAI says ChatGPT and Codex will share one plan usage allowance, counted in tokens

OpenAI's Help Center says the change comes to Plus, Pro and Business plans starting in December, as Work's agent features move into the main ChatGPT experience. How much you use depends on the model and the task, and stronger models and harder tasks generally use more. Instant chats don't count. Your combined remaining usage and reset times will show in Settings → Usage, and at the limit you can wait for the reset, upgrade, or buy credits. OpenAI says it expects most people won't wait for resets more often than they do now. It hasn't given an exact start date or per-plan allowances.
