Anthropic opens a waitlist for the Claude Duet research preview

On October 22, 2026 (Beijing time), Anthropic opened a waitlist for Claude Duet, a new proactive-agent app built around Claude Opus 5.5. It flags matters that need attention, completes assigned tasks, keeps working while users are away and checks before acting on their behalf. It carries over memory, skills and connected apps from a Claude account. The early research preview is available through a waitlist for Pro and Max users in the US.
