Standalone Claude Design is closing; project migration is rolling out

Expected effective time
Review updated

Anthropic is closing standalone Claude Design as its design tools move into Claude. Project migration is rolling out to paid plans. Project owners can move one, selected or all of their own projects. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner—not an Admin—can use “Move everything” to migrate the organization’s projects, templates and design systems. Artifacts and the relevant design-system permissions must be enabled for the organization and any custom roles. Organizations using customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) can currently move individual projects, but not batches or design systems. HIPAA-ready and zero-data-retention (ZDR) organizations cannot currently migrate projects. Moved copies in the standalone site become read-only, and the move cannot be undone. Chats and comments do not transfer, and old public project links will stop working after closure, so save anything you need separately. Bulk downloading all projects you own is also rolling out; it excludes chats and comments and is unavailable to HIPAA-ready organizations. Until that option appears, projects can still be exported individually as ZIP files. Migrated projects may be subject to the organization’s artifact-retention policy.
