Claude Code's desktop app gets an update for running parallel sessions

On October 14, 2026 (UTC), Anthropic updated the Claude Code desktop app for running many sessions side by side. You can save folders, an SSH host or the cloud as an environment, with an optional worktree per folder. Parallel tasks run as nested sessions that report back to the main one, a sidebar shows which sessions need you, and /btw opens side questions in their own tab. Update the app and start a new session to try it.
