Amazon Polly updates its generative speech engine with 14 new voices

Amazon Polly has added 14 generative voices across nine locales, including its first generally available generative voices in Hindi and Finnish. AWS reports improved expressiveness and accuracy. Existing generative voices are upgraded in place, with voice names, API calls and prices unchanged. The new voices are available in 11 AWS Regions, including GovCloud (US-West). Users need Polly access and should check voice availability in their deployment Region. Standard and neural voices are unaffected; generative voices still do not support speech marks.
