OpenAI's new fast, efficient model for professional work, with strong image understanding, precise computer use and clearer writing. OpenAI says it matches GPT-6 Astra on Agents' Last Exam at a tenth of the per-token price, finishes tasks over 3x faster, and costs 50% less than GPT-5.6 Terra on the standard API. Third-party: generally available in GitHub Copilot \(app, CLI and VS Code\) and listed on OpenRouter.

Rolling out to Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users in ChatGPT Work and Codex \(not in Chat; Enterprise access depends on admin settings\); API model gpt-6.1-terra.
