ChatGPT Release Notes \(2026-09-17\): ChatGPT is now available in the Microsoft Word sidebar \(draft from notes, summarize, revise selection, adjust headings/formatting\). Same Microsoft add-in family as Excel/PowerPoint. Available on all ChatGPT plans including Free; plan token limits apply and Word draws from the shared premium/Codex allowance where applicable. Install the ChatGPT add-in from Microsoft Marketplace, then sign in.
