# GitHub Copilot Automations get team sharing, more triggers and spending caps

Copilot Automations bundle a prompt, triggers and tools into a repeatable job that Copilot runs in the cloud: on demand, on a schedule or when something happens. What's new: team automations that live in the repository, bill AI credits to its owner and act as Copilot; triggers from outside systems through the REST API; 24 more GitHub event triggers and 20 new GitHub tools, plus tools from your own MCP servers; AI credit caps per run, day, week or month; and suggested self-improvements that only apply once you approve them. You can also manage cloud automations from VS Code 1.144. Automations are available on Copilot Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise, and shared automations are still rolling out.
